On August 28th, 2014, the Association held an event to analyse Oxford’s view on Mexican Modern Art. If you like art as much as we do, then you might be surprised to know that many of the art pieces you see in Mexico today were created by painters who came from abroad and decided to stay and paint in Mexico.
During this event, Liliana Baltra, the Association’s Cultural Secretary, was joined by two contemporary artists, Antonio Sobarso and Katina Ribayou, to provide an Oxonian perspective on Mexican Modern Art. The event was held at Club Piso 51 in Mexico City.
