Founded in the city of Puebla in 2010, the Tuk Saxophone Quartet is an independent group that draws on the personality of its five members. Their repertoire includes classical pieces of jazz, rock, and traditional Mexican. It has four saxophonists and the ideal complement, a percussionist.
Jazz music started as the perfect blend of African music and American blues, but very soon it became universal. Today we find excellent jazz groups in Europe and Latin America and surprisingly enough also in Asian countries.
On May 28th, 2013 the members of Tuk delighted our alumni and guests from other distinguished universities with their talent. More photos here.
